Outreach

Outreach is the work of the church as it follows Jesus’ command to “love our neighbor as ourselves” – as we move our worship out into the world, whether around the corner, around the diocese or around the globe. 

Throughout our diocese, leaders encourage people to reflect theologically and practically on issues of poverty, social justice and advocacy. The Diocese of Atlanta also has a corporate voice as it engages government entities and public policy at every level.

Our Office of Community Ministries  helps parishes and individuals discern where their gifts for ministry intersect with the needs of the world to allow us all to share the Good News of God in Christ in the manner of St. Francis of Assisi when he said, “Preach the Gospel at all times; use words if necessary.”
