Proposed Canon Revision

Resolution for Revising Canon 9
Submitted by the Appleton Board of Governors

RESOLVED THAT Line 1 of Section 3 of Canon 9 be amended by striking therefrom the word “two” and inserting therein the word “three”.

EXPLANATION

During a recent review and revision of its bylaws, the Appleton Board of Governors decided that it would like its members to serve three-year rather than two-year terms. The boards of most diocesan ministries have three year terms, and the Appleton Board of Governors believes that this model would work best for its organization as well.
