Summer Mentor Training and Accreditation Renewal
People interested in discerning their call to the ministry of Education for Ministry mentor and for existing EfM mentors to renew their accreditation will have two opportunities to do so June 11-13 and Aug. 20-22 at the Lanier House on the grounds of the Cathedral of St. Philip, Atlanta.
“We are offering both core (basic and in-service) events along with formation events focused on ‘Equipping for Ministry,’” said RuthElizabeth Conine, diocesan EfM coordinator. “The core event enables an individual to discern whether he or she has the desire and skills to be a mentor for the Education for Ministry program, along with continuation of ongoing training to support the experienced mentor’s ministry with an EfM group,” she added.
The formation event offers an opportunity to strengthen one’s skills in assisting people to live into their specific ministries. This topic is especially timely given the focus on ”Living as Spiritual Mature Persons” in Year C. Mentors must be eligible to register for the formation option.
Registration is $175, which includes meals and materials. Lodging is the responsibility of each registrant. Contact Conine at email@example.com for registration information.
These events have limited enrollment, and early registration is encouraged. For information about the Education for Ministry (EfM) program or one’s status as an EfM mentor, please contact Conine.
