The Go Summit

If the old Diocesan Ministry Fair and the annual Global Mission Conference had a baby, it would be the Go Summit: Local and Global Mission in the Diocese of Atlanta. This year, Global Missions’ annual Go! Summit will explore racial reconciliation and healing on a local and global level at the Cathedral of St. Philip. The one-day event, on Saturday, February 16, will feature The Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock, senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, panel discussions, and breakout sessions, using the companion relationship between the Diocese of Atlanta and the Diocese of Cape Coast Ghana as a lens through which we can explore how to address our past and embrace our future. Please encourage those in your ministry with big ideas, dreams, frustrations, and questions to register and attend. Clergy that attend will receive 5 Contact Hours toward their Continuing Education credits. Register here.

Afternoon breakout panel sessions will include:

  • Racial Healing Then and Now
  • Racial Healing Across the Waters
  • Panel discussion and audience reaction to Traces of the Trade
  • How the Absalom Jones Episcopal Center for Racial Healing is Leading Reconciliation, Healing Inside, Outside our Diocese
  • Not Without Us: A Model for Community Engagement
  • Addressing Immigration Issues in Your Worshipping Community
You can make others aware of your ministry, organization, or idea by setting up a display at no charge on the tables provided in the Cathedral atrium. (Please indicate when you register if you'd like to have a display.) Advance registration is $30 per person and includes lunch.
