Mothering Sunday at Emmaus House Chapel

March 22 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Please join us for a very special musical service on Mothering Sunday at Emmaus House Chapel.  Mothering Sunday is traditionally held on the fourth Sunday in Lent, a celebratory break from the austerity of Lent, when people return in remembrance of their “mother church”. It is fitting, then, that we recognize both the maternal contributions of The chapel and those who have maintained their steadfast commitment to this chapel community. Professional musicians who have “grown up” in this church, as well as our current youth, will share their talents.

In keeping with the tradition, we want to offer this opportunity during the service to honor all mothers, both living and departed. When you respond to this invitation, please indicate the names of the mother or mothers that you would like to recognize, and indicate “in honor of” or “in memory of.”*

Immediately following the service, a reception will be held in the newly remodeled and rededicated Ford Hall.

The registration deadline is March 21. To register, please call 770-895-9074.

* Your presence at this special service would mean a great deal to us. If you cannot attend, please consider sending a donation in recognition of your mother and the continuing life of Emmaus House Chapel. Checks can be made to Emmaus House Chapel and mailed to 1017 Hank Aaron Drive, Atlanta GA 30315.
